experienced art handling

Professional artwork handling and exhibition support for museums, galleries, artists, and collectors.

As an art handler, I help museums, galleries, artists, and collectors install, transport, maintain, and care for artwork with precision, professionalism, and respect for every object entrusted to me.

My experience includes exhibition installation and deinstallation, artwork packing and transportation, condition reporting, exhibit maintenance, and the preparation and refurbishment of traveling exhibitions. I have experience transporting artwork through both local deliveries and long-haul trucking, supporting projects for museums, galleries, universities, private collections, international art fairs, including Art Basel Miami and Design Miami, and cultural institutions throughout Washington, DC, and across the United States. With this expertise, I am also registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov), allowing me to provide art handling and related services for the Smithsonian Institution.

My experience includes working with both 2D and 3D artworks, utilizing museum-standard packing methods such as shadow boxes, archival slipcases, brace packing, cavity packing, and crate or slat-crate packing to help ensure artwork is protected throughout transport and installation. I also have experience serving on rigging support teams, assisting with the safe installation and movement of large-scale sculptures and other three-dimensional artworks under the direction of experienced rigging professionals.

Whether preparing artwork for exhibition, transport, or long-term care, I approach every project with attention to detail, clear communication, and respect for the artists, institutions, and collections I serve.
